iBiquity Digital has certified TBK's TDI 2001-A0 decoding module for use in automotive and home HD Radio receivers The TDI 2001-A0 uses Texas Instruments' DRI250 chipset to provide an all-in-one solution that integrates the RF tuner, analogue baseband demodulator and the HD Radio decoding function

It is the world's first DRI250-based module to integrate all HD Radio functionalities in a single platform.

Manufacturers who choose to implement this module will recognise engineering and development cost savings while maintaining certified performance.

"HD Radio technology is the future of radio in the United States, and it offers a tremendous opportunity for us", said Samuel Im, Executive Manager, TBK Electronics Corp.

"We have a team committed to the development of components and modules for HD Radio products, and we are very pleased to be the first manufacturer to introduce an all-in-one decoder module for the technology and our customers".

"Furthermore, we are now developing an IDM based on the DRI300 for the Philips platform and a more cost-effective all-in-one module, both available for production within this year".

"We congratulate TBK on the certification of this module and appreciate their continued development on behalf of our mutual customers to bring HD Radio receivers to market", said Jeffrey Jury, COO of iBiquity Digital Corp.
