The Indium Corporation of America has promoted three members of its engineering team.

The Indium Corporation of America has promoted three members of its engineering team Paul Socha has been promoted to the position of Principal Engineer, Specialty Metals Division

Socha has over 15 years of experience in the electronics assembly materials field, having joined Indium in 1988.

According to Jim Slattery, Vice President, Global Technical Service: "Paul has vast knowledge and experience in the manufacturing process and tolerance specifications unique to each one of the over 220 specialty solders produced in fabricated form at ICA".

"Armed with this, and his knowledge of the physical and chemical properties of each solder alloy, he provides an effective solution to customers' assembly needs and requirements".

"Paul is a solid and valuable team member and is instrumental to our continued growth".

Dave Sbiroli has been promoted to the position of Senior Technical Support Engineer, Interconnect Materials.

Sbiroli has over 10 years of experience in the electronics assembly materials field.

According to Slattery: "Dave's innate problem solving ability, coupled with his in-depth knowledge of both SMT assembly processes and Indium Corporation products, contribute strongly to rapidly optimising and troubleshooting customers' SMT lines".

Tim Jensen has been promoted to the position of Senior Technical Support Engineer, Interconnect Materials.

Jensen has 7 years of experience in the electronics assembly materials field.

Slattery continues: "Tim has superior knowledge of the many variable attributes that impact performance of each Indium Corporation product".

"Armed with this knowledge, and his SMT troubleshooting skills, he is a great resource for our customers".

"Additionally Tim thoroughly understands the problems and solutions of customer conversion to lead-free and has provided outstanding support to both customers and to major industry technical conferences".
