Indium Corporation's Senior Technologist, Ronald C Lasky, PhD, will present two IPC Professional Development Seminars this summer Dr Lasky's workshop, "Best practices in implementing Pb-free assembly", has been in high demand throughout the world

He has presented it throughout Europe, Asia, and the USA.

Presentations will take place on 13th June 2005 in Toronto, Canada, and on 15th June 2005 in Boston, Massachusetts.

Emphasising the practical aspects of the pending Pb-free regulations, this presentation focuses on the "how-to" of implementing Pb-free, and covers issues such as PCB finishes, components, alloys and SMT processes.

Dr Lasky also includes details of several actual implementations of the Pb-free process.

His presentation concludes with a Pb-free implementation plan to meet the deadline of 1st July 2006.

Dr Lasky, holder of the prestigious SMTA Founder's Award, is a world-renown process expert and a visiting professor at Dartmouth College.

He has over 20 years of experience in electronics and optoelectronic packaging and assembly.

He has authored or edited five books and numerous technical papers, and holds several patent disclosures.
