IP coprocessors provide flexible search width
IDT has released its first commercially available Internet protocol coprocessor product portfolio that enables up to OC-768 wire speed to support ever-increasing packet processing requirements.
The PanelPort device is able to achieve this level of digital signal integrity through its unique incorporation of in-house customisable serialiser/deserialiser (serdes) and industry leading IDT serial interface and timing technologies.
The IDT customised PanelPort solution - which includes an embedded TCON for notebook applications - is architected to improve performance by extending battery life and reducing power consumption through optimal thermal management, thus enabling further differentiation for the flat panel display market.
The IDT PanelPort device is fully compliant to the DisplayPort 1.1a standard.
Additionally, the device supports full video interface and includes security encryption through HDCP1.3 The PanelPort four lane receiver device is capable of supporting up to WQXGA (2560 x 1600 at 60Hz) display mode for monitor panels as well as two-lane 1920 x 1080 at 60Hz and for notebook panels.
The IDT VPP1600EMG PanelPort device is available in a 100-pin TQFP (thin quad flat pack) package and supports 15m of cabling for added user flexibility.
