Cable tester is ready for Cat6a standard

As with all Lantek testers, the Lantek 6A employs Ideal's patented measurement system thereby allowing standard patch cords to be used for link testing instead of bulky and expensive test adapters.
All patch cord effects are removed during the field calibration process so both channel and permanent link certification of Category 6a is possible without having to change adapters or reconfiguring the tester.
This feature also reduces cost of ownership because users need only replace patch cords, rather than the entire test adapter or personality module.
The Lantek 6A also features a novel dual-mode test function allowing two different certification tests to be performed simultaneously on the same cable, saving considerable time and effort.
For example, Cat6a and ISO Class Ea permanent link test results could be displayed on screen with only one press of the autotest button.
The Lantek 6A also supports Ideal's Fibertek and Tracetek fibre accessories, enabling it to perform single-mode and multimode insertion loss measurements and distance-to-fault troubleshooting.
"Outside of Germany and a few other countries, it's likely that most companies will deploy 10Gbit/s Ethernet over UTP copper cabling when upgrading their network infrastructure, due to cost and installation reasons".

Existing Lantek 6 customers can upgrade to the new Lantek 6A from only GBP 2095.
