Internal gigabit secure bypass network interface cards improve networking appliance performance by independently executing encryption tasks.

Interface Masters Technologies has a new line of high-performance PCI Express encryption cards designed to improve the throughput of inline Internet security appliances, WAN acceleration systems, gateways and network servers The products improve networking appliances' performance by independently executing encryption tasks

The onboard Cavium CN1010/CN1120 VPN accelerator increases total system throughput by processing high-level IPsec and IKE, IPv6, SSL security protocol macro commands to reduce host I/O traffic and dramatically offload the system processor.

"We are excited to launch this new PCI Express product line and support our existing customers with these unique capabilities mainly for suitable for VPN appliances, secure web servers, and secure access devices where encryption and bypass is required", says Ben Askarinam, Senior VP at Interface Masters Technologies.

The Niagara 2352 Internal Gigabit Secure Bypass NIC is available now and is targeted at Internet service providers (ISP), telcos and OEMs at the critical IT sector requiring security, UTM market, storage area networks (SAN), intrusion detection and prevention and WAN acceleration.
