Three UK venues for embedded event in
2005
The 2005 series of UK Boards and Solutions events will be held in Reading, Birmingham and Edinburgh.
Following the successful debut of Boards and Solutions in 2003 and as a result of the very positive feedback following the 2004 events in UK and Germany, the series is set for further expansion in 2005 As a result in 2005 UK Boards and Solutions will be staged on 19th April at the Royal Berkshire Conference Centre in Reading, on 27th April at the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham, and on 5th May at the Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh

In 2005 the Boards and Solutions UK conference will focus on following major topics: high availability/high reliability - hardware, software, concepts and standards; computers-on-modules and PC/104; operating systems and development tools; serial interconnects and switch fabrics; and boards and modules for industrial applications.
The papers should be highly technical (but not academic).
The papers will have to provide valuable information about technical trends, basic knowhow, solutions and applications.
"Product pitches" are not acceptable.
The 35-minute papers for the Boards and Solutions UK conferences should target one of the following market segments: communications, defence and aerospace, industrial control, transportation, medical electronics, security and surveillance.
The conference audience will be mainly development engineers, engineering management, system integrators and other technical specialists.
Anyone interested in presenting a paper about one of these major topics (or about another relevant topic) should send their paper title and abstract together with their full contact details to the organiser by 14th January 2005 at the latest.
The table-top exhibition, running in parallel with the conference, provides a communication platform where the conference delegates and the exhibition visitors can talk to the technical staff of leading manufacturers and distributors of manufacturers and distributors of embedded computing - hardware, software and services.
The table-top stands will be manned with technical specialists thus the Boards and Solutions exhibition provides a unique opportunity for deep technical discussions with the major players in embedded computing.
