IFR is to host the next Industry Test Forum (ITF) at its European headquarters in Stevenage, Herts.

IFR is to host the next Industry Test Forum (ITF) at its European headquarters in Stevenage, Herts The Forum, on Thursday, 27th September, will cover the latest developments and test techniques on boundary-scan test and include: boundary-scan basics; applications in 3G systems; complementary boundary-scan; BSDL and implementing boundary-scan with non-scan devices; ensuring design for test (and device programming) through boundary-scan; boundary-scan - the next five years

Formed to encourage free exchange and sharing of ideas, information and experiences, The Industry Test Forum is an independent group of electronics test professionals with members from national and international companies such as 3Com, GenRad, IBM, IFR and Marconi.

With the emphasis on practical work rather than theory, test development engineers, vendors, consultants and key industry specialists are invited to participate in the forum to discuss their own techniques and services.

Three to four meetings on various test themes are held per year and hosted by individual ITF members.

IFR's Vice President of European Operations, Mike McCreary said "IFR are delighted to host this particular forum on boundary-scan test.

The interchange of knowledge from practising test professionals will ultimately improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the test process".
