IFR Systems has a complete new line of variable-switching regulated DC power supplies The Kikusui PAM Series has eight models in 2 and 4kW versions that provide a new level of price-performance to the burn-in/life testing and bulk power markets

The PAM Series consists of large-capacity, variable-switching DC power supplies that combine Kikusuiūs long history of high-quality, reliable power products with good value for performance.

The PAM Series offers users a wide range of large-capacity power devices to limit temperature rise, minimize temperature dependence and improve reliability.

With convenient features such as external analogue control functions, analogue read-back functions, a three-point memory function that allows users to pre-store output settings (voltage and current), a novel lockout feature for manufacturing use, master-slave parallel operation, and better voltage ranges for margin testing, the PAM Series offers features normally only available in higher-priced units.

As batteries, DC/DC convertors, automobile electrical components and motor-operated tools have shifted to high voltage or large capacity formats, the voltage ranges required for margin testing have changed.

To meet these changing needs, the PAM Series provides a rated output voltage range of 40, 80, 160 and 320V.

This allows the PAM Series to handle tests at 150% of 24V (36V) or at 150% of 48V (72V) with capacity to spare.

The PAM Series power supplies offer a factory-option twisted-pair TP-BUS digital communication function.

The power supplies can be configured for a power supply system of up to 434 channels in combination with power supply controllers in the Kikusui PIA-4800 Series.

The TP-BUS allows a single power supply controller (such as the Kikusui PIA-4830) to control up to 31 PAM Series power supplies.

It also allows a control signal cable to be laid over a distance of 200m.

For those who require GPIB, it can be installed as a factory option.

The Kikusui PAM Series 2kW models are priced from US $4284 to $5141.

The PAM Series 4kW models are priced from US $7236 to $7616.

All power supplies carry a five-year warranty.
