IKOS Systems has announced the availability of the Portal-to-Productivity (PtP) addition to the IKOS product education programme, iLEARN.

IKOS Systems has announced the availability of the Portal-to-Productivity (PtP) addition to the IKOS product education programme, iLEARN.

iLEARN provides a full spectrum of educational services, including instructor lead workshops at IKOS or customer sites and on demand audio lectures.

The Portal-to-Productivity addition provides desktop learning in the form of interactive web-based tutorials and online help.

Dave Jones, director of Educational Services for IKOS stated, "Online learning is changing the way engineers extend their knowledge and skills.

The PtP provides engineers limited by circumstance, location and time with the opportunity to learn in a way that suits their needs by using web-based tutorials, live events, chats, and interactive trouble-shooting and verification planning tools.

PtP lets users decide what they want to learn, when they want to learn, and the way they want to access the information.

The self-paced PtP tutorials cover topics directly beneficial to an engineer's goals, and provide an interactive environment, including simulated labs, quizzes, graphics, animation and audio to fully illustrate concepts.

Progress is tracked allowing the student to start and stop as needed".

IKOS provides the Portal-to-Productivity web-based education programs free of charge to all IKOS customers on maintenance.
