The Gene-6310 is a highly integrated multimedia Pentium III level SBC which combines outstanding computing performance with competitive pricing The Gene-6310 follows in the footsteps of its subcompact family with its identical compact form factor (4 x 5.75in) its fanless CPU, and its single 5V power requirement

The Gene-6310 can even be installed in the pocket chassis designed to support the subcompact range of SBCs.

The CPU incorporated into the Gene-6310 is the VIA Eden/Ezra series (EBGA).

Running at 400, 533, 667 or 800MHz, this fanless (Eden series only) low power CPU performs at the highest standards.

The built in L2 cache offers 64Kbyte of memory, along with the front side bus running at 133MHz.

Memory support consists of a single 144-pin SODIMM socket with the capability of accessing up to 512Mbyte of SDRAM.

Also, located on the solder side is a Type II Compact Flash socket offering up to 1Gbyte of Flash memory.

Gene-6310 uses the Savage4 AGP4X 2D/3D graphics controller integrated in the VT8606 chipset.

With optimised shared memory architecture, it allows the system memory to be efficiently shared by the graphics controller up to 32Mbyte.

Resolutions of up to 1920 x 1440 are attainable.

TV output signals can also be achieved, through the VT1621 digital TV encoder (supporting both Pal and NTSC).

The remaining features include a south bridge VT82C686B with the AC97 2.0 compliant audio codec VT1612A for audio input/output.

Other I/O support includes onboard 10/100BaseT Ethernet, four USB ports, two serial ports and support for IDE hard, disk drives, floppy disk, keyboard and mouse.
