Two new triple rail-to-rail amplifiers aim for digital television and high-speed monitor applications requiring low power consumption.

Two new triple rail-to-rail amplifiers aim for digital television and high-speed monitor applications requiring low power consumption.

As the latest addition to Intersil's new high-speed operational amplifier portfolio, the Elantec EL830X family includes 200 and 600MHz bandwidth amplifiers.

With a very low power consumption of 2 and 5.6mA per channel, these op-amps feature "gain of 2" bandwidths of 90MHz (for digital TV) and 165MHz (for monitor RGB applications).

According to Intersil, these are the highest performance op amps in the industry for HDTV video applications and offer the highest unity gain bandwidth, plus the option of "gain of 2" bandwidth.

In addition, they incorporate power-saving fast enable/disable that reduces supply current to 90uA per channel, preserving precious battery run-time.

These new members of the Elantec op-amp family have been specifically designed to meet the demands for very high bandwidth and excellent slew rate performance coupled with very low power consumption and are available in a choice of economical 16-pin SO or a space-saving 16-pin QSOP packages.
