Six new low noise amplifiers are the latest additions to Intersil's rapidly expanding high-speed operational amplifier portfolio.

Six new low noise amplifiers are the latest additions to Intersil's rapidly expanding high-speed operational amplifier portfolio.

The Elantec EL513x family includes the EL5132, a 2.8GHz gain-bandwidth device with flat band noise at an industry-leading 0.9nV/(rt)Hz, and device-stable at gains of greater than or equal to 10.

The EL5132 also features a 1/f corner frequency below 1kHz and current noise of 4.9pA/(rt)Hz.

"The EL5132 represents an architectural breakthrough since it keeps the noise down while consuming a low current of only 11mA", said Sameer Vuyyuru, Intersil's Director of Marketing for Video and Op Amps.

"Our new EL513x family of low-noise amplifiers has already evoked tremendous interest in instrumentation, communications receiver, and pre-amplifier applications.

High speed test and instrumentation is another rapidly growing space and Intersil aims to provide solutions for these technically challenging and exciting markets".

Other devices in the family include: the EL5130 and EL5131 are 1.1GHz gain bandwidth parts with 1.8nV/(rt)Hz which operate off only 3.5mA and are device-stable at gains of 5 or above; the EL5134 and EL5135 are 1.3GHz gain-bandwidth devices with 1.9nV/(rt)Hz which operate off only 6.7mA and are device-stable at gains of 5 or above.

Key features of the EL5130 and EL5131 include -3dB bandwidth of 420MHz and a 300V/us slew rate.

The EL5132 and EL5133 provide a -3dB bandwidth of 670MHz and a 950V/us slew rate with a minimum stable gain of 10.

The EL5134 and EL5135 provides a -3dB bandwidth of 600MHz, plus a 475V/us slew rate.
