A new family of high-speed feedback amplifiers boasts the industry's fastest slew rates.

The EL5x0x series of op amps provide the dynamic performance of current feedback amplifiers along with the ease of use and DC accuracy of a voltage feedback amplifier.

The EL5x0x high-speed amplifiers allow designers to use highly stable, easy voltage feedback architecture without sacrificing the high-speed benefits of a current feedback amplifier.

The new op amps are ideally suited for a wide range of applications including video amplifiers, portable computers, high-speed communications, A/D drivers line drivers, RGB applications, broadcast equipment and active filtering.

The EL5104, EL5105, EL5204, EL5205 and EL5304 are available in single, dual and triple versions, with 200, 400 and 700MHz versions.

They operate on single 5 or +/-5V supplies from minimal supply current.

The EL5104 and EL5204 also feature an output enable function, which can be used to put the output in to a high-impedance mode.

This enables the outputs of multiple amplifiers to be tied together for use in multiplexing applications.

The resulting performance will now enable many high-speed low gain applications to go to market faster and with less cost All parts are available now and prices range from $0.76 to $3.90 for 1000-unit volumes.
