Intersil has developed a true bidirectional, ultra-low-resistance quad analog switch that offers precise switching capability from a single supply over a wide range along with high-speed operation.

Intersil has developed a true bidirectional, ultra-low-resistance (0.24ohm) quad analogue switch that offers precise switching capability from a single supply over a wide range along with high-speed operation (15ns turn on, 13ns turn off) The ISL8499 is especially well suited to high-end cellphones and other portable media players with MP3 capability due to its ultra-low total harmonic distortion (0.002%), low operating supply voltage (1.65V), low power consumption (2.7uW maximum), and its small packages

The device is built in an advanced submicron CMOS process and has at least 9kV of ESD resistance.

The ISL8499 is a guaranteed break-before-make quad single pole/double throw (SPDT) analogue switch.

The ISL8499 operates from a single voltage supply over a range from 1.65 to 4.5V.

The ISL8499 is available now in either a 16-lead 3 x 3mm TQFN package or a 16-lead TSSOP.

The suggested price in 10,000 unit quantities is $1.30 for each IC in the TQFN package and $1.25 for each IC in the TSSOP.
