Promotion recognises Korean success
Intersil has promoted Kent Chon to the position of Vice President of Sales, Asia Pacific, located at Intersil's sales office in Seoul, Korea.

"Kent has done an outstanding job running the Korea sales operation over the past three years", said Peter Oaklander, Intersil's Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales.
"Under his leadership, the Korea sales team has significantly grown their revenue by engaging with key customers within the Korean customer base".
"I expect Kent will bring this key customer approach and apply it across Asia Pacific to develop new markets for Intersil".
Chon joined Elantec in 1995 as a field applications engineer and advanced to various positions including applications manager for Asia Pacific and director of Asia Pacific Sales.
In the former role, Chon played a key role in creating the Japan Technical Centre, and latterly as director of Asia Pacific Sales he was directly involved in setting up Elantec's sales operations in Singapore, Korea, Taiwan and China.
Chon holds a BSEE degree from Washington State University and an MBA in global management from the University of Phoenix.
He is currently in the process of completing his PhD in technology management from Seoul University of Venture and Information.
