Local support to increase Chinese penetration

Beijing is a key growth area for Intersil, with substantial opportunities in consumer electronics, telecommunications, networking, instrumentation and other industrial applications.

Expanding its sales reach and focusing on key application areas for the Chinese market, Intersil has opened a sales office in Beijing.

The office includes direct sales and field applications engineers to better serve the growing number of research and development centres located in China's capital city.

Beijing is a key growth area for Intersil, with substantial opportunities in consumer electronics, telecommunications, networking, instrumentation and other industrial applications.

Intersil's Beijing office, along with offices in Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Shanghai, will enable the company to maximise opportunities with the region's established and growing number of emerging technology companies.

"Intersil has hired several engineers in its Beijing office and expects to double the headcount by the end of the year", said David Chen, China Country Manager for Intersil.

"Intersil can now more efficiently penetrate the China market through local support".

"In addition, Intersil has added a toll-free technical support helpline to answer technical applications questions to support engineers in China".
