Lightspan LS-3252 optical gel is a soft encapsulation material designed especially for protection of sensitive photonics and flat panel display assemblies.

Lightspan LS-3252 optical gel is a soft encapsulation material designed especially for protection of sensitive photonics and flat panel display assemblies from mechanical shock, thermal shock, dust, and moisture The product is optically clear from the near UV to the near IR and has a refractive index of 1.52 for index matching to BK7 glass and acrylic plastics

LS-3252 is delivered in convenient self-mixing/dispensing cartridges and features a long pot life (8h) for convenience in an assembly environment.

It cures in 24h at room temperature without the need for UV exposure or high temperature bake.

Service temperatures are -40 to +200C (+260C for 1 to 2min for soldering operations).

50cm3 cartridges are available from stock for prototyping and testing.

A four-page technical datasheet describes material properties including optical transmission and refractive index against wavelength, as well as tips on substrate preparation and cure schedules.
