Dymax 9-984-LVF and 984-LVUF UV-cure conformal coating materials now feature IPC-CC-830 and UL94 specifications.

Dymax 9-984-LVF and 984-LVUF UV-cure conformal coating materials now feature IPC-CC-830 and UL94 specifications.

Dymax has therefore now completed certifications for MIL-I-46058C, IPC-CC-830 and UL94 for its entire conformal coatings line, including 9-20557 and 9-986-F.

The materials exhibit excellent adhesion to polyimide and endure thermal cycling down to -40C.

The cured coating forms a transparent layer which protects components and leads from moisture, dust and other contaminants.

Viscosity is formulated for consistent spray applications through precision dispensing systems, optimising the process and minimising material consumption.

Flow characteristics are designed to assure coverage of leads of even large surface mount components, without running to areas where protection is not needed.

Dymax UV cure coatings cure in 5 to 20s under standard long-wave, moderate or high-intensity light (200-1200mW/cm2).

Curing speed can be as fast as a few seconds, depending on the light source and coating thickness.

The technology enables in-line quality control, eliminates drying racks and allows immediate handling, packing or shipping of parts.

The Dymax coatings range features tough, durable resins with excellent electrical properties, high ionic purity and the ability to withstand harsh environmental conditions.

Dymax adhesives and curing systems form part of Intertronics' adhere concept, which covers the company's range of adhesives, encapsulants, coatings, sealants and tapes as well as the associated dispensing, curing and surface preparation equipment and materials used in the manufacturing and assembly processes.
