Innos, a leading research and development company delivering expertise in silicon, MEMS and nanotechnologies, has announced the appointment of Dr Alec Reader as Sales and Marketing Manager.

Innos, a leading research and development company delivering expertise in silicon, MEMS and nanotechnologies, has announced the appointment of Dr Alec Reader to the position of Sales and Marketing Manager This appointment is part of Innos' aim to further strengthen its position in the commercial sector of the UK Semiconductor Industry, as well as bringing a wealth of experience in both the marketing and technical fields to the management team at Innos

"Innos is the UK leader in its field and whilst it is the facility of choice for academic institutions it has yet to fully exploit the huge potential in the commercial world.

It is the challenge of bringing this innovative company to the forefront of industrial R and D that has led me to take this pivotal position," explains the newly appointed Dr Reader.

Dr Reader joins Innos with 22 years experience in the Semiconductors Industry and holds a Ph.D in Materials Science.

Most recently he worked at the RINCE Institute in Dublin where he was responsible for program management in Semiconductors, Telecoms and ICT sectors.

Prior to this Dr Reader was International Marketing Director and Line of Business Manager with Philips Analytical in The Netherlands, charged with Worldwide business development.

Dr Reader has written over 100 technical papers for numerous books, journals and magazines, along with many review articles and patents.
