D-subs take on rugged environments
New from connector specialist IQC International is a high-density D-type subminiature connector for use in rugged environments.
IQC's new range of mixed D-type connectors enable a combination of contact styles and types to be incorporated into a single standard D connector shell.
The benefits of this new range include optimisation of space, improved EMI/RFI leakage performance and ease of installation.
A full range of "industry-standard" contact block configurations are available with solder bucket, straight or right angle PCB through board or press-fit termination.
Signal integrity is retained through the multiway contacts by the usage of turned gold plated contacts.
Coaxial inserts cover both 50 and 75ohm versions and are designed for crimp termination onto the standard ranges of RG type coaxial cables.
High-power inserts are available in both solder and crimp termination styles in 10, 20 or 40A current ratings, and the high-voltage variants are rated up to 3kV.
