The third seminar of the series "The fundamentals of OLED fabrication" will take place at the Le Centre Sheraton Montreal Hotel on 1st to 2nd May 2003.

The third seminar of the series "The fundamentals of OLED fabrication: how to design and manufacture molecular and polymer organic light-emitting devices" will take place at the Le Centre Sheraton Montreal Hotel on 1st to 2nd May 2003 and will be led by Dr Ghassan E Jabbour of the Optical Sciences Centre at the University of Arizona.

Dr Jabbour is a recognised expert and consultant in the field of fabrication, characterisation, and the testing of organic (polymeric and small-molecule) light-emitting devices for rigid and flexible display applications.

Guest Instructors, representing the leading developers, manufacturers and users of OLEDs, will also be on hand to present critical information regarding their work with OLEDs.

Intertech's OLED fabrication seminar will bring together engineers, R and D staff, and scientists as well as business managers and executives looking to increase their understanding of OLEDs.

The seminar will give detailed approaches to OLED fabrication techniques with a discussion of their advantages and disadvantages.

Recent developments in this rapidly developing technology will be covered as will: the operational principles of both small molecule and polymer LEDs; basic physics and chemistry of OLEDs; advanced printing techniques; roll-to-roll technology and barrier technology; cathodes and interfaces; and phosphorescent OLEDs.
