The second annual conference on powder and thin film phosphors for display and lighting applications will be held on 16th-18th March 2004 at the Marriott Biscane Bay in Miami, Florida.

The Phosphor Global Summit will focus on current trends and market opportunities impacting the phosphor industry - supply, demand, pricing, new applications, processing, and new phosphor material development.

The conference will be devoted to helping producers and users of both inorganic and organic electroluminescent materials assess the market dynamics, emerging materials, new applications, and processing hurdles.

Delegates will get a comprehensive appraisal of phosphor production and availability by type; market characteristics; applications ranging from new flat panel display to solid state lighting systems; new process technologies; competitive threats; and environmental issues - for both powder and thin film phosphors.

Over 200 executives are expected to attend from the fields of flat panel displays, large-format displays, CRTs, EL backlight systems, OLEDs, LEDs, general illumination and architectural lighting.

The conference will feature more than 20 speakers on 17th and 18th March, a panel discussion with key industry executives, and informative Q and A sessions.

Two 3-hour pre-conference seminars will be held on 16th March.

There will also be a number of sponsored luncheons and networking functions, and an exhibit area for display of new phosphor products and processes.

Speaker recruitment for this conference is now under way.
