UK operation to support embedded tools
Embedded systems development tools specialist iSystem has set up a UK company and opened an office in Newbury, Berkshire.
Recently though, larger applications and faster targets have outgrown traditional emulation units, so iSystem has launched a new range of pods for the 68k family to bring the tools up to date.
The new pods use iSystem's "ActiveEmulation" system, which puts the reconfigurable emulation technology close to the target system, improving stability at full bus speed.
The iC3000 ActiveEmulation base unit provides a generic communications unit that supports all 68k families with a simple pod swap.
Communication is also improved with the latest iC3000, with USB2.0 and 100Mbit/s Ethernet connections to the host PC.
All iSystem's emulators are driven by the easy to use winIdea, an integrated development environment.
winIdea runs on all Windows based operating systems.
As well as a powerful debugger, winIdea includes a project manager and build manager where all well-known compilers can be integrated, thus allowing the user to write, download, debug and edit their code from a single interface.
68000, 68EC000, 68LC302 and 68302 processors are all supported at up to 25MHz, with a massive 16Mbyte of overlay memory to cover the largest of application development.
