Emulators offer grand support

An iSystem product story
Edited by the Electronicstalk editorial team Oct 21, 2004

Emulators from iSystem now support more than 1000 different microcontroller variants.

iSystem has always taken great pride in the fact that its in-circuit emulators and development tools support a very broad range of microprocessors.

However, this month it has been time to celebrate as the company's microcontroller tool support has jumped to over 1000 devices.

"We've just completed our latest support for some of Freescale's new ColdFire devices as well as PowerPC and PowerQuiccIII, and its exciting to think that we now support in excess of 1000 micros".

"For us, it further establishes iSystem as one of the world's leading developers of embedded tools; and for our customers, it means that they can be sure of iSystem support for a very broad range of devices", said Jonathan Hector, UK Manager.

"One of the strengths of iSystem's products has always been that each of our emulators can support a range of micros, so that engineers can use the same tools for any number of projects".

"Having over 1000 devices supported makes our products even more attractive to development teams working with more than one family of microcontrollers".

iSystem emulators are used by more than 10,000 engineers worldwide.

They use active FPGA technology to enable them to be dynamically reconfigured to optimise the link to each microcontroller; rather than using a compromise setup for all.

This provides the best achievable performance at all times.

In addition to this, the iSystem integrated development environment, winIDEA, has a powerful feature set that helps engineers optimise their tasks and be more productive.

Furthermore, iSystem emulators are universal, enabling each emulator to be used for a broad range of microcontrollers.

Engineers can work on a number of projects without having to reinvest in further emulator technology.
