Long-life motherboard offers choice of formats
Itox has added the G7V300-P and G4G100-N motherboards to its long-life product line.
Itox has added the G7V300-P and G4G100-N motherboards to its long-life product line.
The new microATX G7V300-P motherboard uses an LGA775 socket, whereas the new Mini-ITX G4G100-N is equipped with an mPGA478 socket.
Each new board also uses the Intel 915GV Express chipset, supported under Intel's Embedded Architecture programme and accepts a wide performance-range of Intel processors.
These include the Intel Pentium 4 processor with 1Mbyte cache, Intel Pentium 4 processor with 512Kbyte Cache, Intel Celeron D processor and Intel Celeron processor.
"Itox is recognised for meeting the embedded industry's need for legacy compatibility, while simultaneously supporting new performance demands", said Robert Liao, Vice President, Itox Applied Computing.
"These new products, coupled with our stringent revision-control, provide the embedded industry with expanded capability to develop new products with a forecastable total-cost-of-ownership".
"Customers can expect the same high quality year after year, from the first to last board and with substantial advance notification on any issues affecting product availability".
The G4G100-N Mini-ITX motherboard is unique in that it pairs the Intel 915GV Express chipset with Socket 478 processor support.
This enables the motherboard to accept the new Intel Pentium 4 processor with 1Mbyte cache (90nm), as well as the Intel Pentium 4 processor with 512Kbyte cache (130nm).
System integrators faced with cooling or power constraints have the option of selecting from the lower power 130nm processor families.
Along with this processor performance flexibility, the G4G100-N Mini-ITX motherboard incorporates: dual gigabit LAN ports, four serial COM ports, eight USB 2.0 ports, onboard 18bit audio (Realtek ALC202A), onboard Intel GMA900 graphics, four Serial ATA interfaces, one Ultra ATA 100 interface, a diskette interface, a PCI slot (riser card for up to three PCI slots available) and 2-DDR SDRAM sockets (up to 2Gbyte DDR333/400 dual-channel mode support).
The G7V300-P microATX motherboard pairs the Intel 915GV Express chipset with forward-looking Socket 775 processor support.
This board is designed for system integrators who want to move up, but also require support for multiple PCI cards.
Along with providing four PCI slots, this microATX motherboard incorporates: one gigabit LAN port, four serial COM ports, eight USB 2.0 ports, onboard 18bit audio (Realtek ALC655), onboard Intel GMA900 graphics, four Serial ATA interfaces, one Ultra ATA 100 interface, a diskette interface and four DDR SDRAM sockets (up to 4Gbyte DDR333/400 dual-channel mode support).
The Itox G4G100-N is currently sampling with customers, with production quantities available in June 2005.
The Itox G7V300-P will be available for sampling in May 2005, with production quantities available in July 2005.
