High-current circulars handle automotive
shocks

The APD series of circular DIN72585 connectors is designed specifically for applications in all types of automotive, transportation and industrial environments.

The APD series of circular DIN72585 connectors is designed specifically for applications in all types of automotive, transportation and industrial environments, including those subject to extreme shock and vibration Available in one- to seven-way configurations, this new family also features very low contact resistance to maximise signal integrity

Cannon's one-way APD circular connector can handle up to 245A using a 50mm2 wire cross-section, and the dual-way style has two cavities that can accommodate 16mm2 wire cross-sections with a current carrying capability of 74A.

Two-, three- and four-contact connectors have a maximum current rating of 30A, whereas six- and seven-way products handle 16A.

All members of the APD series feature high performance composite bodies designed for continuous operation at temperatures between -40 and +140C.

Essential for the environments in which they are designed to operate, all APD connectors are sealed to IP69, making them resistant to engine, transmission and brake fluid.

Cannon's new APD family of vehicle connectors is available either with a bayonet coupling for quick, simple fastening, or as a flanged version for increased flexibility.

Housings can be colour coded, and Cannon also offers a value-added harnessing capability.

The APD series is designed for a range of transportation applications such as braking systems, power distribution, battery links, sensor applications, lighting, gear and power steering controls in private, public and industrial vehicles.

The APD series is also suitable for a wide variety of industrial, power and sensing applications. Request a free brochure from ITT Interconnect Solutions ...
