A new range of highly rugged RJ45 Ethernet connectors, patch cords, covers and sealed boxes is targeted for diverse harsh environment applications.

ITT Industries, Cannon has launched a full range of highly rugged RJ45 Ethernet connectors, patch cords, covers and sealed boxes targeted for diverse harsh environment applications such as automation bus networks, petrochemical, food processing, railway network systems, outdoor and inside civil and military field data systems and as well as ground avionics These Cat 6 and Cat 5E performance connectors are waterproof to IP67 and deliver IK10 shock resistance

They are IDC terminated, thus requiring no tooling.

They feature 360-degree CEM shielding with a rear metallised cap so are very simple to assemble manually.

Secure plug end locking helps prevent undesired disconnection.

Preterminated patch cords are available in several lengths, and feature PVC or polyurethane cabling to resist oil and other damaging liquids.

Lightweight, snap in rear covers provide tight fixing and guidance, and maintain ground and shielding continuity.

Very robust steel or stainless steel boxes deliver IP66 protection and enable the connectors to be simply and quickly mounted anywhere.
