Innovision Research and Technology has appointed Robert Brown as Business Development Manager for the consumer sector.

Innovision Research and Technology has appointed Robert Brown as Business Development Manager for the consumer sector.

Brown will be developing markets to drive the adoption of Innovision R and T's radio frequency identification (RFID) technologies in high-volume consumer applications.

Following Innovision R and T's deployment of the world's largest ever consumer RFID application, Brown's appointment strengthens the company's ability to deliver customised, low-cost RFID solutions in applications where high unit costs have traditionally proved prohibitive.

"With six years experience in the RFID industry, I realise that Innovision R and T is at the cutting edge of ultra-low-cost design in the RFID sector.

Its business model is ideal for developing the consumer goods market", said Brown.

"Because Innovision R and T provides a complete design service and establishes a direct supply relationship between the customer and manufacturer, the company is able to deliver low-cost RFID solutions that make high-volume consumer applications viable".

"Innovision R and T is leading the development of high-volume RFID applications", said Marc Borrett, cofounder and Managing Director of Innovision R and T.

"Robert's addition to our team strengthens our position in enabling our clients to give their customers the benefits of low-cost RFID design".

Brown, who has represented Great Britain in target rifle shooting, holds an honours degree in electronics engineering from Manchester University, where he held a Government "Top Flight" scholarship throughout his degree course.
