The IEE 1st International Conference on Commercialising Technology and Innovation will be held on 14th and 15th September 2005 at the IEE, Savoy Place, London.

The IEE 1st International Conference on Commercialising Technology and Innovation, (14th and 15th September 2005, The IEE, Savoy Place, London) is one of the IEE's most significant events this year.

It houses several technical tracks, as well as the IEE Innovation in Engineering Awards and dinner.

The event will bring together a multitude of senior industry representatives and academics from the UK, Europe and the rest of the world to listen to talks from the following speakers: Tsugio Makimoto, Corporate Advisor, Sony Japan; Neil Gershenfeld, Director, MIT Centre for Bits and Atoms USA; David Fyfe, Chief Executive, Cambridge Display Technology, UK; Air Chief Marshal Sir Brian Burridge, Royal Air Force; Sir Robin Saxby, Chairman, ARM Holdings; Sir David Lees, Chairman, Tate and Lyle; David Litchfield, Managing Director NGS Software; Ed Gibson, Chief Security Advisor, Microsoft UK; Mark Cox, Head of Security Response Team, Red Hat; Bobby Lambert, Director, RedR; Andy Heath, Head of Emergency Planning Group, Security; National Grid Transco, Charles Brookson, GSM Association Security Group; and Mike Walker, Group R and D Director Vodafone.

The programme will cover: IT security; disaster prediction, detection and recovery; secure mobile communications; the IEE Strategy Forum; and the IEE Innovation in Engineering Awards.
