Conference to model business case for WiMAX
WiMAX London 2007 will be held at the Institute of Physics on 25th and 26th April 2007.
WiMAX London is an annual conference organised by the IET Comms Technical and Professional Network (the IET Comms TPN), Europe's largest comms engineering community with 28,000 members from 120 countries.
2007 is the third year the IET is running events on WiMAX.
The growing availability of WiMAX equipment and the early announcement of a number of deployment plans have led to a new wave of interest in WiMAX and a strong belief in its potential to complement or even disrupt fixed and wireless broadband services.
Some network operators and equipment vendors promote the application of WiMAX quite strongly, however WiMAX faces severe competition from DSL.
At the IET conference the delegates will get to grips with the real opportunities of WiMAX and the latest deployment plans from the UK's major buyers (Government, police force etc), large and small network operators as well as leading manufacturers.
The conference will model the business case for WiMAX in different scenarios.
It will identify the critical factors that will make or break the business case for WiMAX in various environments, illustrated by a variety of case studies and demos.
WiMAX 2007 will "disclose" technology preferences of the leading operators.
