"The introduction of our OC-192c BERT complements the current Ixia BERT product line and provides a high-port density solution to meet growing customer demand", said Eran Karoly, vice president of marketing for Ixia.
"With its expanded set of verification tools, Ixia now offers a stand-alone OC-192c BERT load module, a stand-alone packet over SONET OC-192c load module, and a combination OC-192c load module that offers both packet over SONET and BERT performance analysis.
This breadth of targeted solutions is also available in our OC-48c line of performance verification tools".
The BERT interface is aimed at developers who require an automated verification tool for system test, integration and manufacturing.
With its combination of user-configurable transmit and analysis ports, the OC-192c BERT can generate a variety of error patterns compliant with ITU-T recommendations G.826.
Similar to other products within the Ixia BERT family of load modules, the OC-192c BERT offers a rich feature set, making it a powerful, as well as easy-to-use, analysis tool.
The OC-192c generates extensive statistics, and each statistic can be configured to provide audio and visual alerts, as well as long-term file logging capability.
The BERT can also be managed remotely over any TCP/IP network, which is a standard feature of all Ixia chassis, enabling users to manage ports from the lab or the field.
