The new MJ04 series 2mm metric connector system from JAE complies with the IEC 1076-4-101 electrical and mechanical specification for CompactPCI interconnection.
The JB5 receptacle also meets IP68 when unmated.
Suitable for medical, industrial, and broadcast environments, including outside broadcast because of its high resistance to ingress, the JB5 series has a lifetime of 5000 insertions and is ideal for data download as well as signal transmission applications.
This allows rugged handheld terminals fitted with a waterproof and dustproof JB5 receptacle to be interrogated periodically by connecting to a PC's COM or USB port, for example.
Mating is by secure push-pull locking mechanism facilitating one-handed mating and unmating, and an audible click indicates when fully mated.
Colour coded boots are also available for easy identification where multiple connectors are required.
The JB5 series also features a space saving ground pin design, integrated with the polarising mechanism.
Rated current is 2A per contact and contact resistance is less than 60mohm.
Rated voltage is 200V AC and withstand voltage is 400V AC RMS, ensuring rugged performance even in harsh electrical environments.
Specified operating temperature range is -55 to +85C.
