JAE Europe has released a range of HDMI interconnect solutions including DC1-series connectors and the first compliance tested HDMI cable assemblies to reach the market HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) is the next generation digital interconnect standard for professional and consumer audio-video products such as digital television, DVD players and set-top boxes

HDMI carries high-bandwidth, uncompressed video and multichannel digital audio in a single cable, and has a smaller connector size than the current interconnect standard, DVI.

DC1-series connectors are 19-pole, 1.0mm pitch, lead-free connectors rated at 0.5A per contact, fully compliant with the HDMI version 1.0 specification.

Male and female types are available in surface-mount and through-hole versions, with or without a flange for chassis mounting.

Features include high-level impedance matching for high-speed transmission, grounding for EMI prevention, and a friction lock action for easy insertion and removal.

The extended temperature range -20 to + 85C makes the DC1-series suitable for a variety of consumer and professional applications.

JAE cable assemblies are available in standard lengths, for direct HDMI-HDMI connection, as well as HDMI-DVI cables for backwards compatibility with existing products.

As the leading developer working with the HDMI founding members, JAE helped to establish the HDMI version 1.0 specification and to ensure the connector design met the requirements for consumer electronics.

JAE is also the chosen supplier of connectors and cables for the HDMI Authorised Testing Centres (ATCs).
