The SF9 series tray-type SIM card connector allows designers to achieve ultra-slim designs for mobile phones and other mobile terminals that require user-identification capabilities.

JAE Europe has introduced the SF9 series tray-type SIM card connector with 1.8mm mounted height, allowing designers to achieve ultra-slim designs for mobile phones and other mobile terminals that require user-identification capabilities.

The SF9 series also has released a special multi-functional hold-down design that prevents instantaneous interruption of contact in the event of falling, and also integrates ESD and EMI protection.

In addition to its low profile, the SF9 series also has a minimalist footprint of 18.9 x 26.5mm depth with the card mounted.

The connector provides re-assuring tactile card insertion features including reliable positioning and audible click-when-mated.

In addition to mobile phone handsets, the SF9 series is also suited to a wide range of applications including smart access systems, keyless security, credit card terminals, and smart mobile terminals including next-generation PDAs.

The new connectors meet GSM 11.11 specifications for use in cellular handsets.

The six contacts are rated to 1A and have maximum contact resistance of 100mohm.

The design lifetime of 5000 insertions is equivalent to competitive SIM card connectors that are taller and larger.

Combined with a wide operating temperature range, from -40C to 90C, the SF9 series delivers equally robust performance in a compact and cost-effective implementation.
