To hold the entire module securely, the connector and latch are positioned at either end of the card and operate together to enable module ejection.

Both components are surface-mounted and optimised for automated assembly.

The MM60 connector is a 52-way device meeting the PCI-SIG electromechanical specifications for Mini Card.

It has insertion loss of - 1dB at 1.25GHz, return loss of - 12dB at 1.7GHz, and crosstalk of - 32dB at 1.25GHz.

Other performance characteristics include initial contact resistance below 55mohm, rated current of 0.5A per pin, and di-electric withstand voltage of 300Vrms for 60 seconds.

The connector features gold-plated contacts, as well as a hold-down with tin-plated surface-mount terminations for lead-free soldering.

The stainless steel latch also has tin-plated terminations for lead-free soldering.
