The new MJ04 series 2mm metric connector system from JAE complies with the IEC 1076-4-101 electrical and mechanical specification for CompactPCI interconnection.
The cable-mounted plugs also feature a mechanical lock to ensure correct mating.
JAE Europe also offers complete cable harness solutions, built to special order using these connectors.
Each connector has 15 contacts enabling direct interfacing to PCI Express Card interconnects as well as support for PCIe transmission.
Added features for enhanced signal integrity include a staggered contact arrangement on a 1.27mm mating pitch to minimise crosstalk while meeting PCI-SIG mechanical and electrical specifications.
Low contact resistance of 30mohm provides designers with extra flexibility to optimise cable lengths.
A current rating of 0.5A per contact allows use in a wide variety of applications including external connection of PCIe cards, interconnecting high-performance systems, and linking evaluation or development boards to a host board or PC.
The connectors have a lifetime of 10,000 mating cycles with a operating temperature range of - 40 to +80C.
