Electronic Materials Incorporated has released a one-component fast-curing electronic grade acrylate formulation EMCAST AC-5005, available in the UK from Jenton International.

This room-temperature-stable, free-radically-initiated, ultra-violet- and/or heat-curing adhesive/encapsulant can be cured almost instantly to a hard polymer of Shore D75 by exposing to ultra-violet light in the 320-380nm wavelength range or heat.

EMCAST AC-5005 exhibits excellent adhesion to various polymeric substrates such as polyester (Valox/Celanex), polycarbonate (Lexan/Calibre) and polyamide (Nylon/Zytel).
