JMC takes novel cooling technology from
Agilent
JMC Products has licensed Agilent Technologies' patented dual-pass airflow technology for use in a range of products for server, workstation and desktop PC markets worldwide.
JMC Products has entered into a licensing partnership with Agilent Technologies, making JMC the first thermal supplier to offer the patented dual-pass airflow technology to server, workstation and desktop PC markets worldwide Powered by technology developed by Agilent and sold by JMC, the patented cooling process is now available to the market, as outlined in a partnership agreement signed in January of 2002

Powerful DC fan to cool complete enclosures
According to JMC Products, a single 9232-12V fan can be input into a chassis to successfully extract air from an entire system.
The partnership agreement allows JMC to license the dual-pass airflow technology to design and manufacture thermal cooling solutions.
The dual-pass airflow technology permits the operation of a two-pass heat exchange and therefore improves the overall performance and reliability of the heatsink.
Dual-pass airflow occurs when the heatsink takes in air from all sides and creates a vacuum that creates additional airflow through the sides and out the bottom of the heatsink.
An effective solution for thermal cooling projects of all sizes, a heatsink equipped with this technology will exceed published Intel and AMD thermal cooling requirements.
"Thanks to this ongoing partnership with Agilent, JMC can immediately deliver this powerful new solution to the market", said John Murphy, JMC's President.
"We recognise Agilent for its tremendous technology expertise and feel that with our thermal knowhow, we will take this technology to the market with remarkable success.
With the addition of dual-pass airflow in thermal cooling, JMC further commits itself to being a complete thermal solutions provider", he adds.
"Agilent is very pleased that the first company to join our licensing program is JMC Products", said Bill Carson, Agilent's Licensing Manager.
"JMC has the R and D capability to exploit the benefits inherent in cooling technology, as well as a demonstrated track record of meeting the demanding product and business requirements of top-tier PC OEMs".
JMC will release a full line of heatsinks using the dual-pass airflow patented technology for the server and workstation market.
