Teradyne systems upgrade to boundary
scan
Software upgrade package to runs boundary-scan testing applications on Teradyne TestStation systems.
JTAG Technologies announces the availability of Symphony 228x, its new software upgrade package to run JTAG Technologies' boundary-scan testing applications on the Teradyne TestStation systems JTAG Technologies was recently accepted as a member of the Teradyne Support Network (TSN), an organisation of Teradyne-approved third-party service providers that Teradyne customers may use with assurance of quality and support

A free JTAG-powered software tool supports the new SCANSTA476 analogue voltage monitor from National Semiconductor.
The Symphony 228x system is a low-cost upgrade for Teradyne 228x and TS12x systems allowing a user at an existing ICT to execute and diagnose boundary-scan tests prepared with the JTAG Technologies development tools using the deep serial memory hardware of the Teradyne ICTs.
Users will benefit from the off-line, fixtureless test preparation and the re-use of stand-alone applications at other stages of the product life cycle such as prototyping and/or preproduction run testing, by the capability to port JTAG Technologies' tests across various development and execution environments.
Symphony 228x can be ordered immediately from JTAG Technologies.
Symphony 228x delivers a comprehensive set of ICT and boundary-scan testing capabilities, drawing on the strengths of each while emphasising excellent cost-effectiveness.
Users of the combined system will benefit from reduced fixture complexity as boundary-scan provides the test access for most digital portions of the unit under test, while drawing on the extensive analogue and mixed-signal capabilities of the Teradyne system.
Ed Durivage, JTAG Technologies US Sales Manager said: "Symphony 228x enables users to deploy in manufacturing the same boundary-scan tests developed for engineering and prototyping purposes".
"They will see savings in test development time and will also benefit by having to learn only one boundary-scan solution".
"Furthermore, unlike other third-party approaches, Symphony 228x doesn't require any additional hardware within the Teradyne test system, which simplifies the installation and holds down costs". Request a free brochure from JTAG Technologies ...
