Driver development toolkits come up to date

Jungo Software Technologies has released new versions of its driver development toolkits WinDriver USB/PCI for host driver development and WinDriver USB Device for firmware code generation.

Jungo Software Technologies today announced the release of version 7.01 of its driver development toolkits WinDriver USB/PCI for host driver development and WinDriver USB Device for firmware code generation.

The new release aligns the support for desktop Windows, Windows CE, Linux and Solaris, featuring uniform APIs and seamless driver migration between the different operating systems.

WinDriver 7.01 includes enhanced support for the NET environment including managed extensions for C++ DLL and PCI/USB.NET C# DLLs.

Also included in this version is a tailored sample for the Microchip PIC18F4550 USB microcontroller to facilitate the development of high performance and cross platform device drivers for this chipset.

Jungo customers with a valid support subscription are entitled to upgrade to v7.01 free of charge.

Jungo offers a free, full-featured, 30 day evaluation version of WinDriver USB/PCI for host driver development and WinDriver USB Device for firmware code generation.

Both tools are available for download from the company's website.
