Driver development suite is made for PCI Express

Jungo Software Technologies has collaborated with HiTech Global to create a version of its WinDriver for HiTech Global's Virtex-5 PCI Express platforms.

The new partnership between the two companies will enable the development of high performance, high quality and cross platform user-mode device drivers.

The partnership offers cost effective overall solution for PCI Express development, with robust end-point PCIe hardware, and with WinDriver's easy hardware access, high-level user mode connectivity functionality.

HiTech Global's Virtex-5 PCIe development platforms provide generous FPGA and peripherals resources for any PCI Express development.

These platforms are designed around Xilinx Virtex-5 LXT and SXT FPGA devices with integrated PCI Express endpoint subsystem.

Jungo's WinDriver PCI features an extensive set of user level APIs that implement PCI/PCI Express functionality.

In addition, a graphical driver wizard enables automatic driver code generation in various programming languages such as: C, C#, Net, Visual Basic, Pascal (Delphi) and for all the major development environments.

HiTech Global's Virtex-5 PCI Express platforms are powered by LX50T, LX110T, SX50T, SX95T and LX330T Xilinx FPGAs.

These x8 endpoint PCIe platforms are supported by mainstream peripherals such as Serial ATA, Gigabit Ethernet, DDR-II and high-speed LVDS.

Jungo's WinDriver automates and simplifies the development of user mode device drivers and applications for USB, PCI, PCI Express, PCMCIA, PCI-X and CompactPCI under Windows 98/Me/NT/2000/XP/XP Embedded/Server 2003/Vista, Windows CE, Linux, Solaris and VxWorks.

WinDriver provides a complete solution for creating high performance drivers and custom hardware access applications, thereby enabling device manufacturers to focus on their driver's added-value functionality, instead of on operating system internals and the DDK.
