Ionisation systems keep cleanrooms clean
Designed for manufacturing areas, the range of Simco overhead air ionisation systems from Kaisertech complements bench-level units in eliminating harmful electrostatic discharges.
The system is suitable for panel sizes from 6 to 60in and has been developed in co-operation with leading repair service companies.
Units combine Unitek Eapro's hot bar bonding knowledge with recent developments in the LCD/PDP industry and use a series of pulsed and constant heat systems for medium to large TAB-repairs in a mix of panels and sizes.
The Emerald is a modular system and features include separate loading/unloading positions with manual panel movement and precise panel adjustment, upwards looking cameras for fine pitch alignment and marker recognition even while the hot bar is on top of the bonding position.
The hot bar footprint/bonding position can easily be seen through a downwards-looking camera in combination with a line generator, and 19in TFT screens provide the user with a good-sized image of the work area.
There is no reasonable restriction to PCB size because of the design of the holding system that also provides fine adjustment in x-y-z and R directions.
Different force settings and temperature profiles can be preprogrammed through a motorised bonding head and a pulsed heat power supply. The bonding head is mounted on a moveable arm to enable bonding to the tracks on the glass as well as bonding to the PCB.
A separate stainless-steel support block on an adjustable slide is used for bonding the TAB to the PCB. Request a free brochure from Kaisertech ...
