Ionisation systems keep cleanrooms clean
Designed for manufacturing areas, the range of Simco overhead air ionisation systems from Kaisertech complements bench-level units in eliminating harmful electrostatic discharges.
With an international customer base, the systems control prime or emergency power in a variety of demanding applications such as hospitals, air traffic control, industry, telecomms etc.
Previously the company used off-site contractors for inspection work, but having moved into BGA devices, decided to bring inspection in-house.
Various systems were considered, but the SolView provided an economical solution, while at the same time providing high quality inspection capabilities.
The device is primarily used to inspect circuit boards but is also used for general inspection of solder joints, surface mount ICs and BGAs.
Mark Dresser, Production Manager, commented: "SolView is proving easy and convenient to use and gives us the confidence that all solder joints meet our high QA standards".
"We are using it as a stand-alone unit and may well purchase more to enhance inspection procedures".
Currently two SolViews are available, Deep Sea Electronics having chosen the model SolView-90.
This is placed beside components for inspection beneath surface mount devices to determine solder bond integrity.
The SolView-00 variant is a direct viewing version for general component inspection including through hole plating quality, device positioning, track and solder deficiencies.
As a self-contained portable inspection unit it can be incorporated in a work-top system with the addition of accessories such as a bench stand an x-y-z stage, CCTV cameras and an image capture and storage device. Request a free brochure from Kaisertech ...
