Kaisertech has introduced the Dima SMT offline programming station.

Suitable for hybrid pick and place systems, it enables the next production run to be prepared without interfering with the current one.

This means that changeover times can be reduced to only a couple of minutes.

The hybrid offline station programs a new set of feeders for the next job while the pick and place machine is working on the current one.

The feeders are intelligent and contain information about the component in the feeder, the amount of components on a full reel, the amount of components still left on the reel, the alarm level and the pick up position.

This information can be entered into the feeder using the offline programming station and is stored in the feeder until it is deleted or overwritten.

The pick-up position, which can be entered using the offline programming station, is accurately calibrated and relates exactly to the machine pick-up coordinates.

After a feeder has been programmed at the offline station it can be inserted directly into any hybrid pick and place machine.

This can be done during production without stopping the machine.

Feeders can be added or taken out of the machine while it is still running.

Theoretically the only task needed after the previous job is completed is selecting the new PCB-file on the PC and adjusting the conveyor width for the new PCB size before starting the next run.

The feeder insert system supplied can be placed on all widths of desk and tape feeders, and vibration cassettes, for programming offline.

Furthermore it is supplied with a PC, software, frame grabber card, monitor and camera with a stand.
