Colour microscope eases PCB inspection

Kaisertech's hand-held probe and camera allows users to look into awkward corners of assemblies.

Kaisertech has introduced a handheld colour video microscope for inspecting PCBs, checking for bad or damaged solder joints, pin-pointing bad connections, spotting burrs and scratches on metal work, finding loose metal particles and other general trouble shooting and QA duties on components and assemblies The hand-held probe and camera, which can look into awkward corners of assemblies, has LED lighting and there is a control box to adjust settings

Connection is to a computer USB port which enables the easy to use software provided with the system to capture high resolution images.

The software also enables dimensions, text and arrows pointing to defects to be added to images, which can then be stored or emailed to customers and suppliers.

The standard lens provides 25-50x magnification but 100x magnification is an optional extra.

Used in conjunction with a laptop computer, the unit provides a portable inspection system suitable for production line or field service use. Request a free brochure from Kaisertech ...
