CameraLink boards provide full-speed acquisition
A new range of CameraLink digital video acquisition and real-time processing boards is now available from Kane Computing.
A new range of CameraLink digital video acquisition and real-time processing boards is now available from Kane Computing.
The Leonardo line is the real solution for ultra-fast CameraLink video capture.
The product line is available in various formats including PCI, CompactPCI and PMC models.
The Leonardo is equipped with a state of the art Xilinx Virtex-E FPGA, offering real time preprocessing of the video data, including: contrast stretching, RGB mosaic colour restoration and random 2D convolution filters.
The video data are stored in a very large onboard memory.
The maximum image resolution is 64 x 64Kpixel.
The common digital video interface is CameraLink compatible, for base, medium and full configurations.
The computer bus interface is electrically compatible with PCI 2.2 and mechanically compatible with standard PCI, CompactPCI and PMC.
The bus interface is 64bit/66MHz, resulting in transfer rates up to 528Mbyte/s.
The top of the range CL-P models include an onboard 600MHz, 64bit RISC processor with 4Mbyte of zero-wait-state SRAM cache memory for real-time application-specific onboard video processing.
The Leonardo CL family is currently supported for Windows and Linux and drivers are supplied with the board for these operating systems.
Support will be available shortly for Real-Time Linux, Solaris and QNX.
Prices start from around GBP 1500, and all CL versions are available for immediate delivery.
