PCMCIA JTAG emulator endorsed by TI DSP
Kane Computing claims that its Predator PCMCIA JTAG emulator was used by Texas Instruments to communicate with the first TMS320C6416 DSPs to come out of its fab, and it all worked first time.

The XSYS boards are based on programmable logic device technology used as the single point of acquisition and processing on the board.
All the data flow goes through the Altera CPLD, allowing maximum speed for all processes of the application: data acquisition, parallel (multichannel) processing and PCI transfer up to 64bit/133MHz.
XSYS features a 32 and 64bit PCIbus master/target interface.
The bus master mode performs transfers without continuous host intervention at rates up to 1Gbyte/s.
The onboard Altera PLD and 4Mbyte of SRAM allow many processing operations to be performed in real-time on the captured image prior to transfer to the host processor, such as reformatting, ROI, gain and offset correction, multitap image formatting and of course custom processing.
PLD Applications specialises in providing custom application firmware integrated into the XSYS frame grabbers.
The standard software package includes drivers and programming API for Windows 98/2000/NT/XP; Solaris, VRTX and Linux are available as options.
The API and drivers can be easily interfaced to industry standards or proprietary image or data capture applications such as Matrox MIL, MVTEC's Halcon and Neuro Inspector from FDS Research.
The frame grabbers are on immediate delivery and prices start at around GBP 1300. Request a free brochure from Kane Computing ...
