PCMCIA JTAG emulator endorsed by TI DSP
Kane Computing claims that its Predator PCMCIA JTAG emulator was used by Texas Instruments to communicate with the first TMS320C6416 DSPs to come out of its fab, and it all worked first time.
CBR, VBR and free formats are supported and the libraries are fully compliant with the Texas Instruments xDAIS standard, to ensure easy integration into user applications.
The implementation has been highly and efficiently optimised using assembly code and in some cases C code to produce a solution that minimises processing overhead and memory requirements.
The low memory footprint enables the encoder to be integrated into products without requiring additional memory and allows other audio algorithms to coexist in the same product.
The low processing power requirement facilitates real-time encoding and also provides increased processor bandwidth for other applications, or allows reduced power consumption in power sensitive portable applications.
Both Kane Computing and CuTe Solutions are Texas Instruments Third Party Partners.
CuTe Solutions has expertise in developing audio solutions on TI DSPs and Kane Computing has expertise in advising, supporting and supplying TI DSP developers with complete design and development packages.
The companies were introduced to each other by Ateme, a French company specialising in video compression algorithms.
Kane Computing is the UK distributor for Ateme, and CuTe Solutions and Ateme are partners working together to supply integrated video/audio compression solutions.
Richard White, Managing Director of Kane Computing, expressed delight that this new relationship had been finalised as it adds important new products to his company's audio/video compression portfolio.
"Marketing audio compression solutions requires a great deal of technical expertise and experience", added Dr Venkatraman Nagarajan, Managing Director for CuTe Solutions.
"We are happy to work with an experts-driven organisation such as KCL to offer our solutions.
Our licensees are the ultimate beneficiaries to this alliance". Request a free brochure from Kane Computing ...
