Fibre-optic link for long-range digital video
Opticlink is a novel system for transmitting digital video over long distances (up to 10km) using fibre optic cables.
Its primary purpose is to serve as a hardware platform for software to capture video and send it out over an Ethernet link.
The board includes a 600MHz Analog Devices ADSP-BF561 BlackFin processor, with 64Mbyte of 133MHz SDRAM, 10/100Mbit/s Ethernet interface, Pal/NTSC multiplexed video input, 4Mbyte Flash and RS232/422 serial interface.
Using two 100-pin connectors, the board offers access to both the full 32bit of async bus as well as both PPI (video) ports and both high-speed serial ports.
This allows custom peripheral boards to be added easily without the time and expense of developing an entire board from scratch.
There are three versions of the Falcon-561, Falcon-561-DK-Full, which includes the Falcon-561 board, Analog Devices Visual DSP development software package, Analog Devices HPPI-ICE PCI emulator, documentation, manuals, examples and accessories.
The Falcon-561-Kit excludes the Analog Devices Visual DSP and HPPI-ICE and the Falcon-561-BO is a board-only option. Request a free brochure from Kane Computing ...
